abit to quit motherboard market?!
This is sad news - it's old and I've just stumbled upon it, as part of research for an X58 (Nehalam) mobo.
Allegedly, according to Hexus, abit is to quit making motherboards end of this year. There's no official word on their website, in fact, their IX58-MAX motherboard has been spotted in the past.
I love abit motherboards - other than my first ever DISASTER motherboard (gigabyte), I've owned abit up until this April (where I got XFX then eVGA), they make excellent and very stable motherboards.
I hope it's all a lie - otherwise I don't know what motherboard to go for come upgrade time. I'm off to email abit.

Its about time you go with Asus' motherboards. They have been in tomshardware test systems for years now. And in mine too :p
I wouldn't mind, but I haven't seen them announce an X58 chipset one. Or is there.. I'll look.
they've already announced P6T Deluxe X58 chipset for Intel Core i7 CPUs
